Kevin practices orthopedics on Oʻahu and founded Pacific Digital Ventures to build the tools he kept wishing existed at work: a translator that doesn't make patients wait on a phone line, a scheduler that doesn't live in a spreadsheet, and intake that doesn't start with a clipboard.

About

Why a PA started a software company.

Most healthcare software is built far away from the people who use it. The result is tools that technically work and practically get in the way. Pacific Digital Ventures is the opposite bet: a small company where the person writing the code is also the person using it on shift.

That's why VocaTranslate was tuned for orthopedic and surgical vocabulary, why Master Scheduler counts shift deficits the way a real schedule-maker does, and why our intake flow asks about work injuries and auto claims up front instead of on page nine.

It's also why we take compliance seriously. Clinicians live with the consequences of a privacy failure. We build as if we'll be the ones explaining it to the patient, because we might be.
